Massoud Pedram

Massoud Pedram is the Charles Lee Powell Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California. He is honored as a fellow of AAAS, IEEE, and ACM, and has received prestigious accolades such as the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Charles A. Desoer Technical Achievement Award. Dr. Pedram has served on the technical advisory boards of many startup companies that went on to have successful IPOs, including EPIC Design and Magma Design Automation. His research team at USC has published over 800 archival and conference publications.

Mahdi Nazemi

Mahdi Nazemi is a co-founder and the CTO at NouvAI. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA and the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran. He was an R&D software engineering intern at the Cadence’s Genus Synthesis Solution group during the summer of 2016 and a software engineering intern at the Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence and Research engineering group during the summer of 2018. His research focuses on algorithm, software, and hardware design for the efficient processing of machine learning algorithms including deep neural networks. One of his publications in this area won the best paper award at the Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference.

Arash Fayyazi

Arash Fayyazi received his Ph.D. from the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Southern California. Mr. Fayyazi has a solid background and excellent training in developing EDA and CAD flows and tools. He has extensive expertise in ML compilers, low-power design, and EDA development.
